Stuart Jay Raj -Turkey -YEREBATAN Basilica and Istanbul by Night

It was a long trip from Bangkok to Turkey – via Cairo. After 18 hours of traveling, we finally made it. We arrived at the hotel just before the sun went down and thought we’d be able to rest for the rest of the evening. NO SUCH LUCK! The Yereatan Cistern was going to close in 45mins!.. we rushed out of our hotel and jumped onto a train. Arriving just before they were going to close up, we were able to get in quickly and cover this amazing place. Afterwards, we tripped around the chilly city, ate and then went in search of the source of the EVIL EYE in Turkey! If you’re into languages, culture and pushing your minds to the limit, don’t forget to swing by my language, mind-skills and travel blog – ‘Behind the Curtain’ at http://stujay.blogspot.com … from ancient languages to accelerated learning techniques and deciphering codes, there’s bound to be something in there that tickles your fancy.
