Stu’s Funk – Stu Jay Raj plays Piano + Drums simultaneously

Most people who follow my channel are probably there for the clips I put out about languages and learning languages. Today is a bit of a different clip but in my mind it is still a language based video. To me, language is about creating meanings with sound. Those meanings affect actions and emotions. The more tools that you can master, the more scope you have for making meanings. Our drummer left his gear at my place for rehearsals, so I thought I would see what I could do combining piano and drums by myself.. I’m not a drummer, so it’s a little raw. Having to carry sustain, bass, melody and vamping at the same time as the band wasn’t there… nor my feet available to use the sustain pedal, it created a much different texture to what I’m used to. Still a lot of fun though.
