“You have a natural talent for languages, that’s why you can learn them so well”
… It comes from first having a passion about them and then putting in the hard hours.
For the first time I have decided to shoot a clip of that which holds my deepest, darkest secrets and is indeed the secret to my ability to learn languages.
Welcome to my library!
In this clip, I’ll give you a whirlwind tour of some of my books – most of them language oriented.
You will see books in and on Thai, Mandarin, Cantonese, Shanghainese and other Chinese languages, Amis, Tagalog / Filipino, Indonesian, Malay, Bahasa Jawa (Javanese), Balinese, Sunda, Madura, Russian, Turkish, Vietnamese, Northern Thai ล้านนา, Isaan, Lao, French, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Burmese, Swedish, Farsi, Urdu, Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Panjabi, Danish, Arabic, Sanskrit, Korean, Japanese, Kansai / Osaka dialect, Tibetan, Dzongka and if you look closely you can even spot a couple of Irish Gaelic charts.
There are books teaching other languages, books in other languages, books in other languages about language and linguistics and books in other languages teaching other stuff through those languages. All of which are important ingredients to successful language learning. Yes, a lot of my language learning is done ‘in the field’ with real life people, but I have to admit that I probably spend a lot more time ‘out of the field’, in my books comparing what I have learnt from real life with what the books tell me.
During this candid tour, I’ll show you some of my favorite language learning aids including tools to develop native like Chinese handwriting.
I will be taking some of my learnings from these babies and bringing them to you on video over the coming weeks. For any subject requests or questions, please drop me an email via my website – http://stujay.com/contact/
